So while my former website name "ybltd.ca" meant something to me, the chances of anybody typing in "ybltd" to find anything on Google ranges from zero to none. Conversly, you don't want a keyword that it too broad like "lifestyle" or "travel" or "leads" or "seo". The competition for these keywords starts at over 100,000,000. The chances of getting near the top on a Google search for these terms would be slim and probably very expensive.

As I stated under "Keywords" above, I am looking to match up my website names with a blogging username. If I can't get it at Google, I go to Wordpress and if I can't get it there, I'll look elsewhere.

If you have a blog and you update it with a new post, you should let people know about it. PingMyBlog is a useful and effective service that does it for you quite nicely. Also if you have a blog you should list it with Technorati which probably the best Blog Directory around.
